The Jaxson Dart era has started in New York! The Giants knocked off the Chargers 21-18 at MetLife Stadium to secure their first victory of the season. After an 0-3 start, the Giants decided to bench QB Russell Wilson for the first round draft pick from Ole Miss, Jaxson Dart.
Dart led the Giants on a 9 play, 89 yard TD drive to start the game. He capped it off himself, running it in from 15 yards for the score. His mobility in the pocket and ability to use his legs really separates him from the other QBs in this rookie class. Between Dart, RB Cam Skattebo, and EDGE Abdul Carter, the Giants rookies are impressing so far this season.
The Giants did lose star WR Malik Nabers to a knee injury in the second quarter. It is very likely that he tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season.
