Michigan knocks off USC!

Michigan picked up a much needed ranked win by the score of 27-24 over USC at the Big House in Michigan. The Wolverines dominated on the ground, with Kalel Mullins rushing for 159 yards and 2 TD’s, and Donovan Edwards rushing for 74 yards and a TD. Michigan QB Alex Orji only threw for 32 yards. USC QB Miller Moss threw for 283 yards and 3 TD’s with one INT.

Michigan looked good in the first half, leading 14-3 at the break, but USC came out in the second half ready to play. USC outscored Michigan 14-6 in the third quarter, leaving them down just a field goal entering the 4th. The Trojans took the lead when Miller Moss threaded the needle for a TD to Jay Fair on a 3rd and 16. After a pair of punts, Michigan started a drive with just over 4 minutes left trailing by 4, needing a TD. The Wolverines marched down the field, mostly on a Kalel Mullings 63 yard run to set up a Mullings 2-yard TD on 4th and goal.

With the win, Michigan improves to 3-1 (1-0 in BIG) and will look to build on this win when they host Minnesota next Saturday. With the loss, USC falls to 2-1 and will look to bounce back when they host Wisconsin next Saturday.
