Week 1 of College Football got started on Thursday night with a couple of high profile teams in action. Here's some of the notable results.
North Carolina 19 @ Minnesota 17
Last night, North Carolina opened their season with a 19-17 road win over Minnesota. UNC QB Max Johnson left the game with an injury, his future status is unknown. Minnesota led 14-7 at HT, but 4 second half FG’s got the Tar Heels across the line. The Gophers missed 2 field goals from makeable distance, which ended up being the difference.
North Dakota State 26 @ Colorado 31
Coach Prime and his Colorado Buffaloes started off their season with a narrow 31-26 victory over North Dakota State at Folsom Field. QB Shedeur Sanders impressed, throwing for 445 yards and 4 TD’s. 3 of those TD’s were to CB/WR Travis Hunter, who hauled in 7 catches for 132 yards. Next week, Colorado heads to Nebraska for a 7:30pm EST prime time clash.
Howard 7 @ Rutgers 44
Coach Schiano and the Scarlet Knights started off their season with an impressive 44-7 win over Howard.
